- “A United Family. The Western Balkans towards membership: The Jean Monnet Chair “EU-Eastern Europe” tutoring at Student Forum Maastricht
On 8 April, the Jean Monnet Chair, dr Gergana Noutcheva joined a special session “A United Family. The Western Balkans towards membership” organized by the Student Forum Maastricht. Student Forum Maastricht (SFM) is an annual international academic conference bringing together students and professionals to discuss Europe-related topics – see more on the SFM website at http://www.student-forum.eu .One of the topics in the 2021 edition of the forum focused on EU enlargement policy and involved students from across Europe.
During the session, students discussed the strengths and weakness of the current EU enlargement policy and brainstormed about policy changes. Dr Noutcheva shared tips about writing effective policy briefs and getting policy makers to listen to policy ideas.
